ISSUE:
Connection times out or drops when updating
RESOLUTION:
If your connection times out or drops when updating, you may be using an Internet service provider such as AOL or CompuServe that doesn't allow certain connections through their software. You'll need to use a browser other than your service provider's browser to connect to the update server.
To open Internet Explorer directly:
- Connect to the Internet as you normally would.
- Minimize your Internet service provider application.
- Open Internet Explorer.
- Enter www.hrblock.com in the Address field of Internet Explorer, and click Go or press Enter.
- Minimize the browser, and open H&R Block At Home.
- Update H&R Block At Home.
